Visit the waste-to-energy plant
The visitor center Hehku, built in connection with the Korvenmäki waste-to-energy plant, has the opportunity to study sustainable consumption habits, recycling and waste utilization, and to get acquainted with the Lounavoima waste-to-energy plant and energy production. The visitor center is only open at specially agreed times.
The time of the visit to Hehku and the waste-to-energy plant will be agreed with the groups on a case-by-case basis. Individual visitors can register for the general tours, follow us in Facebook to learn more. Arrival
The visitor center and waste-to-energy plant are located in Korvenmäki, Salo at Helsingintie 541 (along the 110 road, about 7 km from the center of Salo in the direction of Helsinki). You can get there by heading from the third junction of the Korvenmäki roundabout in the direction indicated by the sign Lounavoima and then immediately turning right towards the visitor center building. Due to limited parking, it is advisable to arrive by joint car. When arriving by bus, the car park is in front of the main entrance of the visitor center next to the fence. When arriving by car, the car park is on the right-hand side of the visitor center building.
